Health Care Assistant Vacancy

Hours: Part time

Mocketts Wood Surgery is a GP Surgery looking after 9000 patients.

We are based in the beautiful village of St. Peters in Broadstairs. We currently have a fabulous team comprising of four GPs, 4 x Practices Nurses, one Health Care Assistant, Social Prescriber, pharmacist, and administrators.

We are looking to complete and enhance our team by fulfilling the post of a friendly, positive and an enthusiastic health care assistant.

Patient care is our priority and is at the centre of all that we do.

We therefore would expect the successful applicant to have a skill set that includes strong organisational and communication abilities and most importantly to have empathy, be caring and thoughtful enough to go that extra mile to provide outstanding care to our patients.

Person specification:

The applicant should ideally hold the following specifications:

• GP Practice experience

• Motivated/ enthusiastic and willing to go the extra mile

• Team player

• Flexibility

• Show initiative

• Experience with Emis web is preferable, although training can be given

• Up to date mandatory training would be preferable

The successful applicant will be expected to complete the following duties as part of their role:

• Blood pressure checks

• Phlebotomy skills

• Completion of NHS Health Checks

• New patient checks

• ECGs

• Foot Pules

• Assisting with clinical stocktaking

Hours: Part time /Negotiable
