An opportunity has arisen for a part time medical receptionist to join our friendly and hardworking GP practice to cover maternity leave.
GP Receptionist plays a crucial role in managing patient interaction and administrative taks within a general practice setting, ensuring smooth operations and high-quality patient care
Main duties of the job
Patient Interaction: GP receptionists are often the first
point of contact for patients. They greet and assist patients, manage patient
registrations, and handle appointment bookings.
Administrative Duties: They are responsible for maintaining
accurate patient records, managing correspondence, and overseeing the
practice's appointment system. This includes processing requests for
appointments and handling incoming phone calls.
Communication: Receptionists liaise with healthcare
professionals, including GPs and nurses, to facilitate patient care and ensure
effective communication within the practice.
Digital Facilitation: With the increasing use of digital
services in healthcare, GP receptionists are also involved in managing online
appointment systems and patient portals, which requires them to adapt to new
technologies.

Firdale Medical
Centre is a member of Northwich Primary Care Network. We currently look after
almost 11500 patients as well as mentor and support one of the local nursing homes.
The practice is led by three GP partners, and we employ 6 salaried doctors. To complete the clinical team we have two nurses, health care assistant, a pharmacist, pharmacy technician and two Musculo-skeletal (MSK) specialists.
We are also teaching practice supporting foundation
and specialty doctors.
