GPS Healthcare has an exciting vacancy for a Salaried GP to join our team, providing care across our six locations in Solihull. We're seeking enthusiastic candidates who are passionate about General Practice and would like to work 6 sessions per week (Monday, Tuesday, and Friday - Location to be confirmed). Main duties of the job
The post holder will provide the full range of
general medical services managing a caseload with a wide range of health needs
in a primary care setting, in line with the GPS Healthcare objectives of
providing the highest standards of care for all registered and temporary
patients
To support the clinical and administrative team to
manage a busy and interesting clinical caseload. There will be the opportunity
over time to take part in leading on key disease areas and assist in developing
appropriate healthcare services for a diverse patient list.
Involvement in audits, practice & service developments, QI work, teaching and GSF/MDT meetings
Reception Signposting a priority, GP Workflow Administrators and an Acute Care Team
A team of Clinical Pharmacists, Paramedics, ANPs and Social Prescribers to support GPs and patients

We are able to offer our Salaried GPs Salary according to experience post GP CCT: <5years £11,025 / session, > 5years £11,235 / session
6 weeks A/L and 1 week S/L pro-rata

- The post-holder will be expected to undertake all the normal duties and responsibilities associated with a GP
working within primary care including but not limited to
- In accordance with the agreed timetable the post-holder will be available to undertake a variety of duties
including surgery consultations and emergencies, telephone consultations and queries, triaging, home
visits, checking and signing repeat prescriptions and dealing with queries, pathology results, managing
correspondence in a timely manner, patient medical reports and examinations (e.g. Insurance company
reports), referral letters, paperwork and correspondence and to take part in the duty rota.
- Make professional autonomous decisions relating to patient care
- Record clear contemporaneous IT based consultation notes
- Collect data for audit purposes
- Extended hours as agreed by the practice
- Compiling and issuing acute and repeat prescriptions
- Prescribing in accordance with locally agreed or national guidelines
