Job summary
Havelock Grange Practice is seeking an experienced Treatment Room Nurse to cover maternity leave from May 2026 to February 2026.
You will be joining and be supported by a well established Nursing Team within a busy Practice.
You will hold full registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council. You will comply with NMC guidelines and code of conduct.
Main duties of the job
This role is responsible for the delivery of evidence-based
nursing services, working as part of the practice multi-disciplinary team,
delivering care within their scope of practice to the entitled patient
population.
Working autonomously, the Treatment
Room/Practice Nurse will be responsible for a number of clinical areas such as
public health and screening programmes, including infection prevention and
control, immunisations, health promotion and prevention, well man/woman clinics
and cervical screening, Furthermore, they embed population health management
approaches within general practice, targeting health inequalities and improving
access.

Practice with 6 GP Partners, supported by a diverse team of Advanced Nurse
Practitioners, Nurses, Health Care Assistant, Phlebotomists and resilient
Reception and Admin teams.
We also work as part of the One Life
Hartlepool Primary Care Network, which has three GP Practices working in
partnership; This allows the Practice to be also supported by PCN Pharmacists,
Mental Health Practitioner, First Contact Physiotherapy, Social Prescribers,
Care Co-ordinators and Health & Wellbeing Coaches.

with patients and their families to undertake assessments of patient need
- Support
in the long-term condition management within the organisation, including being
involved with quality improvement and assurance initiatives
- Support
public health and screening programmes, including immunisations, vaccinations,
and cervical screening and also provide opportunistic health promotion advice
- Embed
population health management approaches within general practice, targeting
health inequalities and improving access
- As required, provide routine nursing care
to patients in accordance with clinical based evidence, NICE and the NSF
- Support
public health campaigns (e.g., flu clinics)
- Provide
travel advice services
- Provide
wound care (ulcer/Doppler, etc.) to patients
