Job summary

Wychbury Medical Group are recruiting for a Nurse Associate to work at our busy practice.

This is a full time post in General Practice.

The person appointed will join a well-established team of 6 practice nurses with range of skill mix, 1 nurse associate and 2 healthcare assistant. The Practice has a patient population of 22,000 and works across 3 surgery sites, home visiting may be required.

Main duties of the job

Applicants will have some general practice experience with management of long term conditions, and be able to provide essential treatment room services as described in the job description. Experience in wound care is essential.

Job description

Job responsibilities

The successful candidate will be supported to undertake the following clinical tasks:

Blood pressure recordings

Urinalysis

Assistance with minor surgery, Coil and Implant

ECG application and recording

Ear examinations and syringing

Wound care/ management/dressing techniques.

Immunsiations

Providing review clinics for patients with Long Term Condition Clinics including creating and updating care plans

Cervical Smears

NHS Healthchecks

Suture and Clip removal

The Nurse Associate will work independently, under the leadership and guidance of registered nurses as an integral part of our clinical team, complimenting the work of our GPs and other healthcare professionals.
