Job summary

What are we offering?

A full time PA role (over 4 days) working as part of our senior clinicalteam (3PAs and 3 Nurse Practitioners).

We are currently a single GP practice so our GP works in a consultant role meaning that all patients traditionally seen by GPs are seen, diagnosed and treated by our senior team with the support (often immediate) of the GP.

You need to be someone looking to work in a supportive environment who is a good communicator and team player. You will need to have the skills to work autonomously but also work closely with all members of the primary care team on a daily basis.

This role is currently funded using PCN ARRS funding but you will be employed and work exclusively for Mundesley Medical Centre.

Main duties of the job

You will see, diagnose and treat patients presenting with a full range of presentations either face to face or via a phone call in 15 minute appointments.

You have protected time for referrals and associated paperwork.

Working within our team of 3 PAs you will carry out home visits, reporting to the GP or if required video calling the GP whilst with the patient.

You will have the opportunity to focus on areas of clinical or management interest if opportunities arise. For example one PA attends our quarterly business meeting, helping to develop services and forward plan and another PA is now the infection control lead for the practice. Post natal and baby checks are carried out by a PA with an interest and previosu expereience in this area. We have been training a PA to carry out joint injections.

About us

Mundesley Medical Centre is located in a lovely seaside village and we asked the team why this is a good place to work:

"friendly"

"team work"

"one big family"

"the day goes fast in a nice way"

"rewarding"

"good opportunities and access to courses"

"no drama"

"ice cream in my lunch break"

"best practice in Norfolk"
