Main duties of the job
About the Role
The role involves delivering a wide range of nursing services and working closely with GPs, healthcare assistants, and the wider primary care network.
Key Responsibilities

Provide evidence-based nursing care to patients of all ages

Undertake chronic disease management (e.g., asthma, COPD, diabetes, hypertension)

Deliver routine nursing duties including immunisations, cervical screening, wound care, and health checks

Support patients with health promotion and lifestyle advice

Contribute to QOF, enhanced services, and health improvement initiatives

Maintain accurate clinical records in line with practice policies and NMC guidelines
About us
Westgate Doctors surgery is based in Westgate-On-Sea in Kent, which is a lovely seaside location.
We have 10,500 registered patients and the clinical team comprises of four GP partners, one salaried GP, two ANP's and a compliment of Registered nurses and HCA's.

Job Purpose
The post holder will be responsible for the delivery of general practice nursing services to the practice population. Working collaboratively with the general practice team, the nurse will provide a wide range of nursing services, health promotion, and chronic disease management in line with local and national guidelines.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver evidence-based nursing care to patients in accordance with NMC standards.

Undertake chronic disease management including asthma, COPD, diabetes, and hypertension reviews.

Childhood and adult immunisations and vaccinations

Cervical cytology

Contraceptive advice and support
Health checks
