Job summary

Are you an advanced nurse practitioner or advanced clinical practitioner looking to make a difference in a dynamic, supportive and forward thinking GP surgery?

We are seeking a skilled ANP/ACP to join our dedicated acute team, providing expert clinical care to our diverse patient population.

You will work with our current team of three ANP/ACP's on our busy acute team alongside our GP's, assessing patients, diagnosing and treating our patients.

Main duties of the job

You will work in our acute service playing a vital role in managing urgent patient needs.

You will assess, diagnose, and treat patients presenting with acute or same-day issues, such as infections, injuries, or exacerbation's of chronic conditions.

We expect our ANP/ACP's to work autonomously to deliver timely, high-quality care, including prescribing medications, ordering investigations, and referring patients when necessary.

By managing acute demand effeciently you will help to reduce GP workload and ensure that patients receive prompt and effective care, contributing to the smooth running of the practice.

Highfield Surgery is a large training practice located in the south shore area of Blackpool, serving a population of approximately 13,600 patients.

Our practice caters to a diverse and often complex patient demographic, with a significant proportion of our population living in areas of deprivation. This brings unique challenges and opportunities as we work to address high levels of chronic conditions such as diabetes, respiratory diseases, cardiovascular issues and mental health concerns.
