Job summary

An exciting opportunity to work in a Multidisciplinary team in primary care. Triaging, diagnosing and managing patients with acute and long-term conditions, both in the practice setting and in patients own homes. This post is ideal for someone looking for a more stable shift pattern within standard GP working hours, with exposure to a variety of clinical work and being able to offer continuity of care to support and navigate patients through their clinical pathway. The post is proposed as full time, but we are flexible with hours for the right candidate.

Main duties of the job

Assess, triage and manage patients as appropriate or make necessary referrals to other members of the primary health care team, using a mixture of online, telephone and face to face consultations.

  • Recognised qualification in paramedic science (Foundation Degree or Undergraduate Degree)

Desirable

  • Enhanced Clinical Assessment course
  • Masters degree Framework for Higher Education Qualification (FHEQ) Level 7 or Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework (SCOF) Level 11.
  • Or working towards Enhanced Clinical Assessment course or equivalent module Minor Injuries and illness module Prescribing qualification
