Job summary

Chelston Hall Surgery in Torquay is looking to appoint a Finance Officer to join our busy, multi-disiplinary team. This is a key role in supporting the Partners and Management Team with the financial operation of the practice. We are a large, forward thinking practice operating over two sites, one at Chelston Hall and the other at Barton Surgery. We have completed several successful mergers and now have a diverse patient population with a list size of approximately 18,500 patients.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will support the overall smooth financial operation of the business, including the preparation and processing of monthly payroll in house, bank transactions, submitting and reviewing all claims, general book keeping and raising and paying invoices. They will be able to present financial information, and be responsible for NHS pensions uploads and management.

About us

The salary will be £24,000 - £30,000 pro rata, depending on experience. This salary will be based on an expected working week of 30 hours.

We offer 27 days annual leave per annum on a pro rata basis, plus all statutory bank holidays. There will also be an opportunity to join the NHS Pension Scheme.
