Job summary

Wellspring Surgery is a busy and friendly primary care practice in Barton Hill, Bristol. The team work hard to work with and support the needs of our community.

We are recruiting 13.5 hours per week of Senior Administration time to support us at busy times. The role will be varied and you will have the opportunity for more hours if you wish.

Main duties of the job

We are recruiting additional Senior administrator hours. The ideal candidate will already know aspects of primary care administration. We are particularly looking to increase capacity in:

- Clinical triage support

- Practice email account

- Subject access requests

- End of life administration

We are looking for someone with great communication skills, who is happy to help across administration and care navigation as needed.

Wednesday 8am 4.30pm (7.5 hours)

Friday 12.30pm 6.30pm (6 hours)

Wellspring Surgery provides primary care services to 11,000 patients in diverse and vibrant Barton Hill and surrounding communities in inner-city Bristol. Wellspring Surgery is a core teaching, training, and research practice. The team is very friendly and focused on supporting the needs of our local community. Wellspring Surgery is an active participant in the Bristol Deep End GP Network, a member of the Bristol Inner City Primary Care Network and we work closely with our colleagues across the Inner City and East locality.

We are committed to continually improving the patient and staff experience of our services, recognising the barriers to access for our population and are currently focusing on triage and continuity of care.

The Surgery comprises 4 GP Partners, 9 salaried GPs and a fabulous and growing multi-disciplinary team of Nursing, Clinical Practitioner, Clinical Pharmacists, Podiatry, Mental Health Practitioner, BDP and Social Prescribing.

NHS national campaign planning e.g. Carers week, mental health awareness day

PPG admin

Patient leaflets in waiting room

Campaign delivery for example, Flu campaign: Liaising with nursing team on stock, loading nurse clinic screens, booking clinics

Support QOF delivery

Excellent and timely communications with patients including via text and Surgery website and email

Docman 10 support

Support delivery of Surgery workflow

Connecting Care support

Prescription cover as required

Projects as identified and required by the business

  • GCSE grade 4/ C or above in English and Maths

Experience

  • Experience of working in a GP Practice or NHS environment
  • Experience of dealing with vulnerable patients
  • Experience of being a helpful and friendly team member
  • Experience of excellent customer service skills
  • An awareness of Health and Safety within the workplace
  • Knowledge and understanding of Health & Social Care terminology and familiarity with symptoms of medical conditions
  • Understanding and maintaining confidentiality at all times

Desirable

  • Experience of working with EMIS or other electronic patient record
