The Glebe Practice is a thriving
dispensing practice in Saxilby in the West Lincolnshire district of
Lincolnshire, about 6 miles northwest of Lincoln city. Lincoln is less than an hour away from
Nottingham and only 2 hours by road or rail from London. It is easily
accessible to the whole of the UK and has easy links into Europe.
We are looking for a GP to complement and
strengthen our current team. We are willing to be flexible for the right
candidate and understand the importance of maintaining a sensible work/life
balance
We are a long-established well-respected
practice committed to providing high quality general practice to our patients.

Job responsibilities
Job SummaryThe postholder will provide high quality primary care services to the practice population, managing a broad and varied caseload. They will deliver patient centred clinical care in line with evidence based practice, professional standards, and contractual requirements.
Key ResponsibilitiesClinical Duties- Conduct face to face, telephone, and online consultations.
- Assess, diagnose, treat, refer, and manage patients with undifferentiated and complex conditions.
- Provide chronic disease management in accordance with practice protocols.
- Undertake home visits when clinically appropriate.
- Review and sign prescriptions; manage repeat prescription queries.
- Interpret and act on test results, correspondence, and clinical alerts in a timely manner.
- Provide health promotion, lifestyle advice, and disease prevention strategies.
Care Quality & Governance- Maintain accurate, contemporaneous patient records.
- Work within practice clinical policies, safeguarding procedures, and national guidance.
- Contribute to QOF, enhanced services, and other quality/improvement initiatives.
- Participate in audit, clinical meetings, and significant event reviews.
Teamwork & Collaboration- Work collaboratively with GPs, nurses, pharmacists, AHPs, and administrative staff.
- Refer patients appropriately to community, secondary, and urgent care services
Professional Duties- Maintain GMC registration, appraisal, and revalidation requirements.
- Engage in CPD and keep knowledge up to date.
- Work within the GMC Good Medical Practice framework.
