Main duties of the job

As a Pharmacy Technician at Northdown and Dashwood Surgery, you will play a vital role in supporting medicines management throughout the practice. Working closely with GPs, our clinical pharmacist, nurses, and administrative staff, you will contribute to enhancing patient safety, streamlining repeat prescribing processes, and supporting cost-effective prescribing.

Your responsibilities will include ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and safety standards while actively contributing to the smooth running of the medicines management system. Your expertise will help us deliver high-quality care and improved outcomes for all our patients.

About us

We are a friendly, forward-thinking, and supportive training practice serving around 25,000 patients across two sites. Our team is extremely welcoming and dedicated, consisting of:

  • 6 GP partners (3 male, 3 female)

  • Advanced Clinical Practitioners (ACPs) and Paramedics

  • 5 Practice Nurses

  • 1 Mental Health Practitioner

  • 2 Pharmacists

  • Pharmacy Technician

  • 5 GP Assistants (GPAs)

  • Healthcare Assistants (HCAs)

  • Phlebotomists

  • Experienced administrative and reception staff

  • Good working knowledge of medicines management processes
  • Excellent communication and IT skills experience with Emis .
  • A proactive, organised, and patient-focused team player
