Job summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed GP(s) to
join our friendly and dedicated team for 6 sessions per week. With fortnightly
on-call commitment on Friday.
We look forward to welcoming GPs who are keen to settle at
the practice and willing to contribute to the management and further
development of us as an individual practice and as part of the wider Primary
Care community.
Main duties of the job
3.5 hr
surgery routine appointments
Mixture
of 10 minute and 15 minute appointments
Inclusion
in the on-call Duty Doctor rota
Inclusion
of the extended hours rota
Up to one
home visit per day
Deal
with letters, correspondence, investigations related to your patients
consultation, and help with those of clinicians on annual leave.

Job responsibilities
Responding to medical problems presented by
patients on the practice medical list, including history taking, examination,
investigation, diagnosis, treatment and referral where appropriate.
Establishing appropriate systems to manage
common chronic medical conditions, eg asthma and diabetes.
Providing appropriate preventative health care
and advice within the context of primary health care.
Attending primary healthcare team meetings and
other meetings as may be necessary for your duties.
Auditing practice activity.
Clinically related administrative and
non-clinical duties needed for the delivery of general/personal medical
service.
Maintain patients clinical records.
Engaging in appropriate educational activity in
order to maintain clinical and managerial competence and performance.
