Job summary
We are looking to recruit a GP Retainer
to our well-established and friendly GP practice.
Permanent (4
sessions per week, Monday one session, Tuesday two sessions and Friday one
session (school hours available Monday and Friday)
Main duties of the job
The role will involve home visits, urgent care, extended hours and chronic disease management. Our excellent secretaries, receptionists, prescription clerk and administrators will work hard to support you to deliver excellent medical care.
About us
We have 6500 patients with
seven GPs (3 Partners and 4 Salaried) , our trainee GP, our very experienced
full time Practice nurse and full time Nurse associate and Healthcare
Assistant, along with full complement of PCN roles including physio practitioners,
mental health practitioner and pharmacists.
We offer daily coffee and catch
up walks with colleagues, protected time for in-house meetings and half day
closing for bi-monthly clinical meetings to support your CPD.
Our last CQC was good with
outstanding features, we consistently achieve maximum QOf points and are a Gold
award winning training practice.
Romiley has excellent transport
links being close to the motorway network and a short drive to Manchester City
centre. It is within walking distance of train networks and bus services and is
a thriving community, with good local schools and a friendly local village
atmosphere.

The successful applicant
will provide high-quality primary care across four clinical sessions per week,
delivering safe, patient-centred consultations for a broad and diverse
population. This will include managing acute presentations, supporting patients
with long-term conditions, and contributing to preventative and proactive care.
You
will work as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team, participating in
clinical discussions, quality improvement activity and shared decision-making
to ensure continuity and safe outcomes for patients.
The
role includes protected CPD time and structured educational supervision in line
with the National GP Retention Scheme. There will also be opportunities to
contribute to audit, service development and QOF-related work where
appropriate, depending on experience and interest.
