Job summary
We have a great reception team and require a second Reception Manager so that five days a week are covered. The right person will line manage the team; be the first point of contact for the Doctors; liaise with the Practice Manager through regular meetings and our open door policy; participate in Practice and Partner meetings; do cross training with other members of administrative staff outside of reception to ensure that reception can always be covered.
Main duties of the job
To ensure the smooth running of reception including:
- leading from the front
- to work in harmony and synergistically with the other reception manager
- being responsible of reception emails
- overseeing the prescriptions team
- overseeing the eConsult team
- being responsible for the reception rota ensuring that there is always cover particularly on Saturdays AND to cover if required
About us
Our practice has grown from a single handed surgery started by Dr Charles Brookhouse in 1904 to a large practice with 14,000 patients. We serve north Bromley (most of postcode BR1) including Plaistow & Sundridge, Bromley Town Centre, Bickley, Shortlands and north Hayes.
We have 3 GP partners, 4 salaried GPs, 1 Advanced Nurse Practitioner, 2 Practice Nurses, 3 Health Care Assistants and from our PCN ARRS staff, we are fortunate to have a dedicated Clinical Pharmacist, Social Prescriber, Care Co-ordinator and GP Assistant. We also have weekly access to 2 physiotherapists and Mental Health Practitioners.
The clinicians are ably supported by a multi-skilled administrative team of which the Reception team are the pivot. Thus it is imperative that we have a strong reception management structure to ensure the continued smooth running of the practice.
