Job summary

The Role

We are looking for a motivated Salaried GP to join our team on a12-month fixed-term contract. You will work collaboratively with GP partners, nursing staff, and the wider multidisciplinary team to manage a varied and rewarding clinical caseload.

This role offers the opportunity to contribute to clinical care delivery, service development, and disease area leadership within a well-organised and progressive practice.

Main duties of the job

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Duties

  • Deliver high-quality patient care via face-to-face, telephone, and online consultations
  • Undertake home visits where required
  • Manage acute and chronic conditions, including complex and mental health cases
  • Process repeat prescriptions, test results, and clinical correspondence
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical records using EMIS Web
  • Prescribe in line with local and national guidelines

Leadership & Service Development

  • Take a lead role in specific disease areas of interest
  • Support staff training and share clinical expertise
  • Contribute to audits, quality improvement, and service evaluation

Practice Contribution

  • Participate in QOF, Enhanced Services, and practice performance initiatives
  • Attend practice meetings and contribute to ongoing development
  • Support high standards of governance, including CQC and data protection compliance
