Practice phlebotomist Vacancy Springfield Medical Practice

We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive Phlebotomist to join our busy team.

Springfield Medical Practice strive to offer the best possible levels of care, which was evidenced by the latest GP Patient Survey 2024 . We serve a patient population of 7,000 and have great working relationships with our patients. The partners at Springfield Medical Practice work hard to provide a caring and supportive environment for practice staff with plenty of training and development opportunities.

The post would suit an experienced phlebotomist delivering phlebotomy to the patients of the practice.

Working hours will be Monday or Friday mornings four hours per week

Informal visits to the practice can be arranged on request.

Job Types: Part-time

Experience:

• Venepuncture : 1 year (required)

Main duties of the job

Venepuncture

Assisting in emergency situations with patients

Acting as a Chaperone, when required

Assisting Nursing team or GPs when required

Helping to raise awareness of health and well-being and how it can be promoted

Assisting with the collection and collation of data on needs related to health and well-being

Processing and management of laboratory samples requested by GPs/Nurses

Stock monitoring and ordering

Ensuring patients are appropriately followed up

Being proactively involved in Quality Outcomes Framework (QOF)

Maintains own clinical notes
