We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly
motivated GP to join our clinical team of 3 Partners (1 Full time and 2 x Three
quarter time), Nurses and a multi skilled Primary Care Network Team.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will
undertake a variety of duties, including surgery/telephone consultations and
queries, signing prescriptions, and dealing with queries in a timely fashion.
Making professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems.
Assessing healthcare needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed
problems. Screening patients for disease risk factors and early and early signs
of illness. Developing care plans for health in consultation with patients and
in line with the current practice disease management protocols. Recording clear
and contemporaneous consultation notes to agreed standards. Compiling and
issuing computer-generated acute and repeat prescriptions. Prescribing in
accordance with the practice prescribing formulary. The post-holder will be
expected to undertake all the normal duties and responsibilities associated
with a GP working within primary care.

The Practice is run from a modern, purpose-built
building with on-site parking. We are part of NHS Lancashire and South
Cumbria Integrated Care Board and Blackpool South Primary Care Network, which is

- List size
circa 6K
- 3 GP Partners,
a supportive nursing team with 2 nurses, an AP and 1 HCA
- Clinical
pharmacist

- FCP on site with reception direct booking, Social Prescriber support via Age

following are the core responsibilities of the salaried GP. There may be on
occasion, a requirement to carry out other tasks; this will be dependent upon
factors such as workload and staffing levels:
- The
delivery of highly effective medical care to the entitled population
- The
provision of services commensurate with the GMS contract
- Generic
prescribing adhering to local and national guidance
- Effective
management of long-term conditions
- Processing
of administration in a timely manner, including referrals, repeat prescription
requests and other associated administrative tasks
- On
a rotational basis, undertake telephone triage and duty (on-call) doctor roles
- Maintain
accurate clinical records in conjunction with good practice, policy and
guidance
- Working
collaboratively, accepting an equal share of the practice workload
- Adhere
to best practice recommended through clinical guidelines and the audit process
- Contribute
to the successful implementation of continuous improvement and quality
initiatives within the practice

delegated responsibility for a specific area (or areas) or the QOF
