Job summary
Burlington Primary Care is a successful, well established, friendly, forward-thinking, training practice with 17,000 + patients. Due to retirement we are looking to recruit an enthusiastic salaried GP to join our dedicated and dynamic team.
We are looking to appoint up to 8 sessions a week.
4 Partners (currently x5), 2 current Salaried G.P’s, 1 ANP (currently looking to recruit a second), 3 ECP, 3 ECT, 2 Pharmacists, 4 Practice Nurses, 2 Social prescribers, 3 HCA’s

Salaried GP Benefits:
Annual salary ranging from £84,000 to £96,000 per annum pro rata dependant on core duties covered as part of our MMAPPPPSS Development Framework and your existing experience.
An aggregate of x4 educational study days per annum

Main duties of the job
The post-holder will make themselves available to undertake a variety of duties, including surgery consultations, telephone consultations and queries, visiting patients at home, checking and signing repeat prescriptions and dealing with queries, paperwork and correspondence in a timely fashion. As part of a rota, mentoring and supporting a multidisciplinary team of clinicians in a ‘hub’ environment. Making professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems. Assessing the health care needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems. Screening patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness
Developing care plans for health in consultation with patients and in line with current practice disease management protocols. Providing counselling and health education
Admitting or discharging patients to and from the caseload and referring to other care providers as appropriate and recording clear and contemporaneous consultation notes
Undertake the mandatory training
Compiling and issuing computer-generated acute and repeat prescriptions. Prescribing in accordance with the practice prescribing formulary (or generically) whenever this is clinically appropriate
In general, the post-holder will be expected to undertake all the normal duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care.
