Job summary
Warwick Gates Family Health Centre is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Salaried General Practitioner (GP) to join our friendly, supportive, and forward-thinking practice. This role is open to both newly qualified and experienced GPs who are looking to work in a positive environment where they can practise confidently, develop their clinical interests, and build a fulfilling career in general practice.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will provide high-quality care to our registered patient population, managing a wide range of acute and chronic conditions through face-to-face and telephone consultations. You will also contribute to clinical governance, audit, and quality improvement initiatives, while supporting the ongoing development of practice services.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
The post-holder will:

Provide high-quality, patient-centred general practice care to the registered population

Undertake a variety of consultations including face-to-face, telephone, and online consultations as appropriate

Diagnose and manage both acute and chronic medical conditions
-
Prescribe safely and effectively in accordance with local and national guidelines
-
Maintain accurate, contemporaneous, and complete clinical records
Clinical Responsibilities

Assess, diagnose, treat, and manage a broad range of health conditions
-
Manage patients with long-term conditions in line with best practice and national frameworks
-
Promote health prevention and patient self-management
-
Refer patients appropriately to secondary care or other services when required
-
Respond to medical queries, test results, and clinical correspondence in a timely manner
Governance and Quality

Participate in clinical governance activities including audits, significant event analysis, and quality improvement initiatives
-
Contribute to maintaining and improving standards of care within the practice

Work in accordance with practice policies, protocols, and CQC requirements
-
Engage in continuous professional development and appraisal
Team Working and Communication

Work collaboratively with GP partners, nursing staff, and the wider multidisciplinary team

Contribute to practice meetings and clinical discussions

Support and mentor colleagues where appropriate

Maintain effective communication with patients, carers, and external organisations
Administrative Responsibilities

Complete clinical documentation and administrative tasks in a timely manner

Review and action laboratory results, letters, and reports

Support the efficient running of the practice through effective workload management
