Job summary
We are looking for a dynamic, energetic and patient centred GP to work six sessions per week in a friendly, innovative and progressive GMS training practice, caring for 14,000 patients.
During your defined hours of work, you will provide
medical services to any patients of the Practice list and to temporary
residents in accordance with the Practice General Medical Services (GMS)
Contract.
Main duties of the job
Responding to medical problems presented by patients, including history taking, examination, investigation, diagnosis, treatment, and referral where appropriate.
Providing appropriate preventative health care and advice.
Providing services outside GMS as specified in contracts held by the Practice with the Wiltshire PCT or as specified in contracts for services with other NHS or non-NHS organisations.
Ensuring compliance with the Practice Protocols and Policies regarding achieving QOF targets, taking a lead role in specific clinical areas of quof, as agreed with the Senior Partner and Practice Manager.
Preparing medical reports for insurance companies, employers, and statutory bodies.
Attending regular meetings and education meetings held on days when you are on duty.
Participating in clinical governance activity and contributing to the improvement in quality of health outcomes through the Practices audit programme.
Engaging in appropriate educational activity to maintain clinical competence and performance, including the completion of objectives agreed by yourself and the Practice in an annual Personal Development Plan.
To maintain the Practices high clinical standards by using clinical governance audits and other information to review patients results, prescribing, disease etc.
To undertake those daily tasks such as results, letters, reports, repeat prescribing etc. for all patients as required
