Job summary Are you a newly qualified GP (within the last two years, without a substantive post) looking for an exciting and supportive role to launch your career? North Newham Primary Care Network is seeking an enthusiastic and forward-thinking GP to join our team. This role will provide you with the opportunity to work across our 3 practices; Claremont Clinic, E7 Health (First For Health Group) and Woodgrange Medical Practice. within Newham. Our practices are dedicated to supporting the growth of both trainees and experienced clinical staff, with two of our sites operating as GP training practices. We have successfully supported GPs through the New to Practice programme and have had GPs complete various fellowship programmes.

Main duties of the job

As a GP within North Newham Primary Care Network, you will be required to work as an autonomous practitioner, responsible for the provision of medical services to the practice population, delivering an excellent standard of clinical care whilst complying with the GMS contract. Furthermore, the post-holder will adhere to the GMC standards for good medical practice.

About us

About us North Newham PCN consists of 3 practices; Claremont Clinic, E7 Health (First For Health Group) and Woodgrange Medical Practice. All three practices are based in Newham, Greater London and serve a patient population of over 37,500 people. Our practices are dedicated to supporting the growth of both trainees and experienced clinical staff, with two of our sites operating as GP training practices and Medical Student placement one of a kind a unique approach in UK . We have successfully supported GPs through the New to Practice programme and have had GPs complete various fellowship programmes. Our three sites provide training for GPs and medical students. Our current team of GPs has a diverse range of specialist interests, such as women's health, minor surgery, medical leadership and dermatology.

Job responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

Provide a full range of medical services as defined in the core GMS contract, additional and enhanced services where appropriate.

Conducting routine and urgent appointments, both face-to-face and via telephone.

Prescribing according to local and national guidelines.

Handling home visits for routine and emergency cases.

Managing administrative tasks, such as letters, results, referrals, and emails.

Making appropriate referrals and managing related admin.

Checking and signing repeat prescriptions.

Participating in on-call/duty sessions as per pro-rata hours.

Collaborating with other health and social care providers to deliver integrated care.

Maintaining accurate consultation records using the EMIS clinical system

Offering clinical support to colleagues, helping the team meet high standards in patient care and QOF/Enhanced Services targets.
