Advanced Nurse Practitioner

Job summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic ANP to join our friendly team of Doctors and Nurses located at Albion Street in SE16. The practice is in a good location being just a few minutes away from the Jubilee line at Canada Water and Rotherhithe Over-ground. We are a training practice providing placements for Doctors, Nurses and Medical Students. We are also a research practice. We look after 15,000 patients and strive to provide high quality patient care.

The post holder would be required to work 27 hours a week. The post holder will be expected to see Adults and Children who have been telephone triaged by the Duty Doctor. Skills in history taking, assessment and examination are essential. Experience in Chronic Disease management would also be beneficial.

We have daily de-brief meetings to support clinical staff and regular clinical/team meetings.

Salary up to £58,500 WTE

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be expected to see Adults and Children who have been telephone triaged by the Duty Doctor. Skills in history taking, assessment and examination are essential. Experience in Chronic Disease management would also be beneficial.

A non-medical prescribing qualification would be an advantage. We would offer support/mentorship to the right candidate to undertake this training. We actively support all our clinicians in their professional development so there will be opportunities to develop skills new skills.

Essential qualities are good communication skills, being able to work within the team and autonomously within your professional boundaries.
