Main duties of the job

Patient Care and Support

Educate patients about research studies and their potential benefits and risks.

Provide emotional and psychological support to patients participating in research.

Monitor patients vital signs, administer medications, and manage adverse events.

Address patient concerns and questions related to the research study.

Coordinate care with other healthcare professionals.

Data Collection and Management

Collect and record patient data according to research protocols.

Ensure accuracy and completeness of data collection.

Prepare and maintain patient records.

Study Coordination and Implementation

Assist in the recruitment and screening of research participants.

Monitor adherence to research protocols.

Ensure the study is conducted ethically an according to regulations.

Coordinate logistics for study visits and procedures.

Patient Advocacy

Advocate for patients rights and wellbeing during research studies.

Ensure patients receive appropriate care and attention.

Other Responsibilities

Participate in research team meetings.

Contribute to the development and implementation of research protocols.

Stay up to date with the latest research findings and best practices.

Supervise and train other research staff.

  • Professional/ Statutory Registration
  • Relevant Clinical Experience

  • Knowledge of quality, standard setting, benchmarking & audit.
  • Good record-keeping skills and proficiency with IT systems to support this.

  • Extensive experience of working within a ward or primary care environment as a qualified nurse
  • Experience with Excel Spreadsheets, and patient database systems

  • Post registration experience in a relevant specialty.
