Folly Lane is a Friendly and proactive practice looking after a diverse population in the centre of Warrington. We have a strong practice team who work hard to deliver excellent patient care.
Folly Lane is looking for a Health Care Assistant to join the practice one day per week.
The team member will compliment our existing team which includes a Nurse Practitioner, two Practice Nurses, Assistant Practitioner, Nurse Associate and GP Assistant. The clinical team includes GP's, First contact Physiotherapist, Visiting Paramedics, Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, Mental Health Nurses, Lifestyle Coach and Social Prescriber. The clinical team are supported by an experienced administration and management team. The practice is part of an active and well organised primary care network.
Main duties of the job
This role would suit someone with some Healthcare Assistant (HCA) experience who wants to further develop their skills.
Full training and development will be provided and will including:
Phlebotomy
Blood pressure monitoring
Offering patients lifestyle advice
Information gathering from patients
Understanding of health care law and practice
Infection control
Administrative training to support freeing up clinicians for dedicated clinical time
Maintaining a well-stocked clinical environment throughout the practices
New Patient Health Checks
Baby Clinics

About us
We are a five
partner forward thinking training practice with a practice list size of over
10,200 patients. We are a friendly and supportive team with an excellent
working environment. We are otherwise fully staffed. Our clinical team
include 5 GP partners, 3 salaried GPs, a range of GP trainees, Nurse Practitioner, mental health nurse, 2 other practice nurses, an assistant practitioner, first contact physiotherapist , pharmacist, pharmacy technician, health & wellbeing coach, social prescriber and dietian.
We are very involved with our local PCN with one of our GPs
being the Clinical Director.

HCAJob Title: HCA Responsible to: Partners/ Practice ManagerThe purposes of the post:To provide high quality services, which
includes health promotion, to the Practice population in collaboration with the
Primary Health Care Team, meeting the needs of the patients and supporting the
delivery of the Practice Policies & Procedures. The role will assist the clinical team in the
service and delivery of the care management of the practice population.The Healthcare Assistant will work under direct
and indirect supervision and perform tasks prescribed and delegated by the GP
Partners and Management Team, Nurse Manager, NPs and Nurses working to

competencies to meet the needs of patients and the organisation.To liaise with the Practice Pharmacy Team, Community Staff, Practice Nursing
