We are looking for an enthusiastic Adminsitrator to join our well-established friendly practice located in Doncaster. The position will be 20/24 hours a week (days to be confirmed)
Our practice team consists of 4 Partners, GP trainees plus a full range of multidisciplinary professionals, who are supported by a strong admin and secretarial team. We are looking for someone that is able to fit in well with our practice ethos of good patient care and teamwork.
Main duties of the job
You will work closely with the Business Manager and Practice Manager and learn all aspects of the practice management role. This includes a range of duties relating to the management of practice staff, trainees, patient management and maintenance.
The Adminsitrator will oversee the day to day running of the clinical services and administration of the practice.

The following are the core responsibilities of the Administrator. There may be, on occasion, a requirement to carry out other tasks; this will be dependent upon factors such as workload and staffing levels.
The Administrator is responsible for:
- Ensuring compliance with CQC regulations and standards
- Supporting the practice manager in the day-to-day operations of the practice, ensuring staff achieve their primary responsibilities
- Direct line management of the following staff: Medical secretaries & Admin team
- Establishing, reviewing and regularly updating Job Descriptions and Person Specifications, for our team ensuring all staff are legally and gainfully employed
- Co-ordinating statutory & mandatory training for the team, liaising with PM, Reception Manager & Senior Nurse where applicable
- Coordinating the reviewing and updating of all practice policies and procedures
- Managing the procurement of practice equipment, supplies and services
- Actively encouraging and promoting the use of on-line patient services
- Liaising at external meetings as required
- Acting as the deputy complaints' manager, ensuring complaints are dealt with in a timely manner and, where necessary escalated to the next level
- The management of the premises, including health and safety aspects such as risk assessments and mandatory training
- Managing facilities & maintenance of Pat testing, calibration, fire extinguishers, alarm systems, & reviewing effectiveness of contracts.
- Managing equipment owned by the surgery (maintaining up-to- date asset registers etc)
- Responding to and resolving all local IT issues where appropriate
