At Trescobeas Surgery, were a well-established, patient-focused GP partnership serving around 10,700 patients (with a dispensing branch) and fully integrated within our local Primary Care Network. We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic GP to join our team for six sessions per week, with a genuine view to partnership.

Main duties of the job

We are a friendly, supportive and well-established practice which achieves excellent QOF results.

We are a patient-focused medical practice dedicated to providing high-quality primary care to our local community. We currently have five established partners and 4 salaried GPs working alongside our practice nurses, paramedics, pharmacists, physios, social prescribers and mental health hub within the Primary care Network group to deliver excellent healthcare in a supportive environment.

We are a training practice for undergraduates and GP trainees.

We offer family planning, minor surgery and joint injections, we are seeking a committed and enthusiastic General Practitioner to join our team.

You will provide comprehensive medical services to a diverse patient list, contribute to chronic disease management and participate in clinical meetings and quality improvement initiatives. You will also manage your own workload, home visits, with duty and prescription review on a rota basis.

Job description

Job responsibilities

a. The delivery of highly effective medical care to the entitled population

b. The provision of services commensurate with the GP contract

c. Clinically examine and assess patient needs from a physiological and psychological perspective and plan clinical care accordingly referring patients to other services/agencies in a timely manner, utilising practice and any other local guidelines

d. Generic prescribing adhering to local and national guidance

e. Prioritise health problems and intervene appropriately to assist the patient in complex, urgent or emergency situations, including initiation of effective emergency care

f. Effective management of long-term conditions
