About us

We are proud of having a happy and relaxed working environment with great support throughout all members of our team. We see ourselves as a work family with many being part of that team for more than 30 years.

We encourage clinicians to develop areas of interest if they wish to diversify, current areas of interest include PCN director, Minor surgery and Student teaching. We make our day more enjoyable through being sociable this includes doing our Duty days in admin, our paperwork together in the clinical room as well as making sure we have morning coffee everyday and lunch together when we can.

We often organise social events, such as days out in York, Edinburgh, or Newcastle. We celebrate everyones birthday, have Egg competitions at Easter and encourage Christmas jumpers during December. We try and give everyone a little extra leave at Christmas in addition to holidays to spend more time with family.

Spennymoor is a friendly place, only15minutes from Durham centre with great transport links to Newcastle and York. Our GPs travel in from areas such as Sunderland, Gateshead and Teesside which they find easy to do. We look forward to meeting you and encourage informal meetings to show you around the surgery.
