Job summary
Albrighton Medical Practice is a
well-established and respected practice in the heart of Albrighton Village. We
are part of the Southeast Shropshire PCN and work closely with the Shropshire,
Telford and Wrekin ICB. We have 5 GP partners all with multiple roles. We have
an Outstanding rating with CQC. Alongside the Partners we have 2 salaried
GPs, 3 Practice Nurses (one of which is prescribing), 2 HCAs, 1 Nurse
Practitioner and a Phlebotomist. We have a wider admin team using their
experience to provide workflow optimisation and efficiencies to release
clinical time, all supported by an experienced forward thinking Practice
Manager.
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an
enthusiastic and experienced GP to join our established team. We provide the
full range of NHS General Medical Services to the registered patients, our aim
is to provide personalised, quality healthcare. As a salaried GP, you will be
supported by, and work with, a diverse multi-skilled professional team of
clinical and non-clinical friendly staff, providing high quality,
person-centred, holistic nursing care to patients registered with
Practice.
Main duties of the job
As a Salaried GP you will be expected to
undertake a variety of duties, including surgery consultations, telephone
consultations and queries, visiting patients at home, checking and signing
repeat prescriptions and dealing with queries, paperwork and correspondence in
a timely fashion. You will be expected to undertake duty doctor sessions in
proportion to your sessions at the practice. Routine surgeries will compromise
14 appointments per session.

staff through the PCN and have a high standard of care for our community and
Care Home patients.

- Hold full registration with the General medical Council (GMC) on the General Practitioner Register
- MRCGP
- Be included on the NHS England medical performers list
- Professional standing - Not be prohibited from providing services due to regulation breaches (e.g., NHS Performers Lists Regulations). Not be suspended from practice by the NHS or from the GMCs list of medical practitioners. Not be subject to any interim suspension orders from the GMC under section 41A of the Medical Act 1983.
- Have a legal right to work in the UK
- Provide clinical advice and mentorship to junior clinical staff.
- Experience of working autonomously and being flexible with daily demands.
