Care Navigator / Receptionist

Job summary

We are looking to recruit a compassionate, diverse individual to join our team in the role of Receptionist / Care navigator.

The role is a fast paced ever changing position which requires the skill to work both on your own initiative and as a team. The position is advertised as a 20 + hour part time contract, but the successful candidate would be expected to be flexible to cover annual leave and sickness as and when required.

Main duties of the job

Duties will consist of receiving, assisting and directing patients in accessing the appropriate service or health care professional.

Operation and compliance of the telephone system.

Operation and compliance of clinical systems to enable appointment booking and completion of medical records.

Scanning and filing to enable correct and up to date medical records.

Provide reception duties to out of hours clinics.

To follow practice protocol and procedures.

About us

We are a small, integral part of the community providing not only health care but a warm welcoming environment to all our 5000+ patients.

You will be joining 4 receptionists and 4 admin staff to support our clinicians consisting of 1 GP principal, 3 salaried GP's, 1 ANP, 2 PN's and 2 HCA's. We also have an in house pharmacist and a mental health OT.

Working along side us are a mental health and wellbeing coach and social prescriber.

We are a training practice and have an annual cohort of registrars.
