An opportunity has become available to
work within our data admin team.
The successful applicant will undertake
a wide range of administrative duties such as processing of information
(electronic and hard copy) to patient medical records with accuracy in a timely
manner. Following practice protocols and procedures to recall patients for
their long-term condition annual reviews. The candidate will also be fully
trained to support the reception team to cover holidays and absence to provide
excellent customer service to our patients.
Previous experience of working with
the NHS or a GP Practice using the EMIS clinical system is desirable but not
essential as training will be given to the right candidate.
Main duties of the job
Your main duties will be to work
alongside the Data Admin team to scan and attach clinical letters and
correspondence from hospitals and other services onto the patients electronic
medical record.
To
review the monthly chronic disease registers and recall patients and invite
them to attend for an appointment.
Undertake a variety of Information Technology (IT) duties
such as updating the Practices website and monitoring our social media account
along with reporting and resolving minor IT issues.
You will also
receive training on reception to cover holidays and absences and project a
positive and friendly image to patients
The
post-holder will be expected to undertake training, which is appropriate and
relevant, to enhance and progress their role within the Practice.

be able to read the document attached and identify if any actions are to be
taken and assign to the relevant clinician in the correct timescale following
practice procedures.
Read
code letters attached to the patients medical record following practice
protocol.
Notify
patients via text, letter or telephone call to invite them to book an appointment
for their annual review.
Manage
information on our Honley Surgerys website and Facebook page.
To be confident with all functions
of the clinical systems and bespoke computer software used in the Practice.
To
report and resolve any faults and IT issues to EMIS or the NHS IT.
To
be familiar with EMIS functionality to be able to add, amend and create self-populating
templates, letters and electronic referral forms.
To
digitalise patients medical records by scanning their Lloyd George paper notes
onto the database.
