Job summary

We are looking for a qualified (or soon to be qualified) nurse who has an interest in Practice Nursing and respiratory conditions. We would like to employ someone to train them to be a COPD/Asthma Chronic Disease Specialist. Full training, mentoring and support will be offered by the Practice.

There will be an option to expand on treatment room skills following respiratory qualifications if interested.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for someone who is keen to learn and passionate about respiratory disease. The main roles (once trained) will include working within our team to provide spirometry, asthma and COPD checks. As well as maintaining the disease registers and working on Practice specific projects.

Job responsibilities

We are looking for someone who is keen to undertake an asthma and COPD diploma, ARTP and spirometry courses. All training will be provided or funded by the Practice.

We have mentors on site who are willing to support and aid applicants through the training.

Once trained the individual will work within our respiratory team to provide care to those on our respiratory chronic disease registers. This will involve regular check-ups, diagnosing, monitoring patients as well as any practice projects/audits required.

Pay will depend on experience, with the top limit mentioned reserved for those who have completed all the required training and are competently applying this in Practice.

We are happy to take on Nurses qualifying in 2024 or those qualified in previous years currently working elsewhere.
