Practice Nurse (Maternity Cover)

Job summary

We are a caring, compassionate, forward thinking, friendly, coordinated, enthusiastic practice who is looking for a registered Practice Nurse to join our team to cover Maternity Leave for up to 8- 12 months.You will work up to 25 hours per week with a working pattern of ideally Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, but we would be keen to hear from anyone that could offer any available days.

You will be working as a member of our Nursing team working alongside other members of the multi-disciplinary team including GPs and nurse practitioners.

Pay is up to £17.75 per hour depending on previous experience and qualification.

The post holder is responsible for the delivery of general practice nursing to the whole practice population. The focus of the role is both the delivery of evidence- based practice for patients presenting with a long term condition, and the provision of preventative healthcare to the practice population. As an autonomous practitioner the Practice Nurse is responsible for the care delivered, demonstrating critical thinking and skills in clinical decision-making in the management of patients. They will work collaboratively within the general practice team to meet the needs of patients, support the delivery of policies and procedures, and provide nurse leadership as required.
