An excellent opportunity has arisen to work across two Rural Alliance Surgeries; Kelsall Medical Centre and Dr Kent and Partners, Tarporley Health Centre.
We are seeking to appoint a newly qualified, enthusiastic, and forward-thinking GP looking for an exciting and supportive role to launch their career. This role is tailored for newly qualified GPs (CCT must be within 2 years of qualification and without holding a substantive post) on a fixed-term salaried contract.
We are looking for 3 sessions per week; Monday, Thursdays and Friday, and a possibility of a further session on a Tuesday evening.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will make themselves available to undertake a variety of duties including surgery consultations, telephone consultations and queries, visiting patients at home, checking and signing/authorising repeat prescriptions and dealing with queries, paperwork, and correspondence in a timely fashion.
The post holder will deal with a wide range of health needs, maintaining our quality standards. They will work with the Partners and Staff to continue to develop the practice in response to the ever-changing face of primary care, maintaining high standards and traditional practice.

Provide patient-centred, evidence-based care that addresses the medical needs of the local patient population. This includes diagnosing, treating, and managing a wide variety of acute and chronic medical conditions, working to improve overall health outcomes.
Ensure that all medical services provided align with the standards and obligations set out in the primary care contract. This includes meeting targets related to patient care, access, and service quality, in compliance with NHS guidelines.
Implement safe, effective, and cost-efficient prescribing practices, ensuring that medication choices follow both local formularies and national prescribing guidelines
Ensure all administrative tasks, including managing referrals to secondary care, processing repeat prescription requests, reviewing test results, and handling patient queries, are completed promptly and accurately to support effective patient care.
Ensure that all patient consultations, treatments, and decisions are accurately recorded in patient notes in a timely manner, following best practices and adhering to legal and policy requirements. This is essential for continuity of care and medico-legal purposes.
Contribute to the practice team by taking on a fair and equitable share of clinical and administrative duties. This ensures smooth operations and a balanced workload across the practice.
Collaborate with other health and social care providers to ensure integrated services and maintain accurate patient records.
