Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Practice Nurse to join our team at Dartmouth Medical Practice. This is a permanent position for 22-30 hours per week. We are a friendly and forward-thinking practice located in beautiful South Hams. We are excited to be recruiting for a Practice Nurse to support our dedicated, well-established clinical team. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to and help shape a progressive practice with a strong focus on teamwork, innovation and patient-centred care.

Main duties of the job

Key Responsibilities

Chronic disease management (e.g. diabetes, asthma, COPD, hypertension, cardiovascular disease)

Cervical cytology

Childhood and adult immunisations

Travel vaccinations (where appropriate)

Wound care and dressings

Health promotion and screening

Medication reviews and prescribing (for qualified Nurse Prescribers)

Dartmouth Medical Practice is a well-established, patient-focused GP practice serving the local community and surrounding areas. We are proud to be part of the South Hams Primary Care Network, working collaboratively with neighbouring practices to enhance and expand patient services across the locality.

We are a 5-partner GP practice with 2 Associate Partners, delivering high-quality primary care within a supportive and forward-thinking environment.

The ideal candidate will bring clinical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a proactive attitude to improving health outcomes for our patients. Your responsibilities will include.
