Job summary

We are looking for a reliable and detail-focused Dispensary Staff Member to join our team, primarily responsible for preparing dosette boxes on a Thursday and Friday.The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and effective dispensing of medications to patients. This position requires a strong commitment to patient care, as well as the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. As a Dispenser, you will collaborate closely with G.P's and other healthcare professionals to provide exceptional service and support to our patients.

Main duties of the job

Duties

  • Accurate preparation and assembly of dosette boxes
  • Checking prescriptions and medication against records
  • Maintaining a clean, organised dispensary workspace
  • Following SOPs, pharmacy procedures, and confidentiality standards
  • Supporting the wider dispensary team when required

About us

Our Team Hibaldstow Medical Practice is a small, friendly rural dispensing practice serving approximately 3,500 patients across a wide geographical area of around 120 square miles. Our close-knit team includes two GPs, two practice nurses, a nurse associate, a healthcare assistant, eight dispensers, four receptionists, two administrators and a practice manager. We work collaboratively to provide high-quality, patient-focused care to our local community.

    • GCSE grade A to C in English and Maths
    • Dispensing qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services or equivalent)
