Job summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dispenser to join our team 20 hours per week. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and effective dispensing of medications to patients. This position requires a strong commitment to patient care, as well as the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. As a Dispenser, you will collaborate closely with G.P's and other healthcare professionals to provide exceptional service and support to our patients.

Main duties of the job

  • Accurately dispense prescribed medications and ensure proper labelling according to legal and professional standards.
  • Assist in the preparation of medication..
  • Provide information and advice to patients regarding their medications, including dosage, side effects, and storage requirements.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality is upheld at all times.
  • Collaborate with dispensary manager to manage inventory levels, including ordering and restocking supplies.
  • Conduct regular checks on medication expiry dates and ensure safe disposal of expired products.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and organised dispensary environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.

About us

Our Team:Hibaldstow Medical Practice is a small, friendly rural dispensing practice serving approximately 3,500 patients across a wide geographical area of around 120 square miles. Our close-knit team includes two GPs, two practice nurses, a nurse associate, a healthcare assistant, eight dispensers, four receptionists, two administrators and a practice manager. We work collaboratively to provide high-quality, patient-focused care to our local community.
