Amber Valley Health
Ltd/ARCH PCN are seeking minor illness clinicians (ACP, Pharmacist or
Paramedics) who can come and join our team working within our same day access
hub.
You will be committed to
working as part of our team to deliver an excellent and caring same day access
service to our patients within our neighbourhoods which are Alfreton, Ripley,
Crich and Heanor.
Our same day access service
will operate Monday to Friday during normal Practice working hours.
The same day access
service will commence from 1st December 2025 to 27th
February 2026.
We are open to applicants
who can work flexibly within the service.
Main duties of the job
- To undertake clinical assessment
and treatment of patients attending the same day access service.
- To provide a face-to-face service
to manage on the day demand.
- To exercise a high degree of
professional autonomy and work closely as part of the multi-disciplinary
team.
- To provide a Minor Illness Service including
prescribing medications as appropriate to your prescribing qualification.
- To provide advice and information
in appropriate non-clinical language to empower clients to undertake
self-care of their presenting clinical condition.
- To maintain accurate and timely
record of all clinical consultations and ensure that your Professional
code of conduct is adhered to.
- To be able to work with a high
degree of independence and manage his/her own workload according to
priorities.

Amber Valley Health Ltd will act as the employer for this
role. ARCH PCN consists of 9 Practices across Alfreton, Ripley, Crich and
Heanor, covering a population of over 85,000 patients across Amber Valley. Our
aim is to provide a same day access service to support our Practices with the
on the day demand and to make it easier for our patient population to receive a
same day consultation with the relevant healthcare professional.
