Job summary

We are looking for an additional salaried GP to join an outstanding, long established clinical team at The Wycliffe Medical Practice, working 4 - 6 sessions per week (am and pm) with one of the days being a Friday.

Main duties of the job

The post will suit either a newly qualified GP looking to develop in a supportive environment, or a more experienced GP seeking a new role. As we are a training and teaching practice, we can provide additional support and mentoring to new GPs.

The partners work very collaboratively with their salaried GPs and the wider practice team, and the partners are keen to offer the opportunity to join the partnership in future if desired.

We have modern, purpose built, premises in the South Leicestershire town of Lutterworth and a growing list size of 10850 patients and pride ourselves on providing a friendly, patient centred service.

Our partners have varied interests and include an ICB Clinical Lead.

We also have a large team of clinical staff including 2 ANP, 4 Nurses, 3 HCAs, 1 First contact Practitioner, Mental Health Practitioners, and a Pharmacist.

Essential

  • - A medical practitioner whose name is included in the General Practitioner Register
  • - Not subject to suspension under section 41A of the Medical Act 1983
  • - Qualified General Practitioner
  • - Currently on a PCT performers list and not suspended from that list or from the medical register
  • - DBS clearance
  • - Have had an annual NHS appraisal

Desirable

  • - Evidence of further educational activities in relevant fields
  • - Evidence of independent working in General Practice
  • - Teaching of GP Reg and Medical students
