To deliver a high
standard of patient care as a Nurse, or Paramedic, Practitioner in our General
Practice clinics, working autonomously as part of our clinical team.
Key Responsibilities:
To manage patients presenting with minor
illnesses and minor injuries
Instigate necessary diagnostic tests and
investigations
Where qualified, to provide appropriate
management of long-term medical conditions
Where qualified, to prescribe
medications appropriately, safely and effectively
To promote health and well-being of
patients
Provide support to other members of the
clinical and non-clinical teams
Liaise with General Practitioners where
required and appropriate
Work as part of the multi-disciplinary
team
Maintain equipment and clinical
provisions to ensure patient care can be delivered

Maintain professional registration and up-to-date clinical knowledge
Participate in defining own personal development plan to maintain and develop personal skills and knowledge
Work within the relevant professional codes of conduct
Maintain professional conduct at all times
Communication:
Ensure effective communication with patients, carers, families, and other professionals at all times
Provide suitable advice to patients, carers, families and other professionals where appropriate
Communicate with the relevant multi-disciplinary teams to ensure a co-ordinated service can be delivered to patients
Undertake clinical assessment of patients and record them appropriately on the electronic clinical system
About us
Grove House surgery is located in the Rose Green area of Bognor Regis with around 11,600 patients currently on our list. We have a 'family' feel to our team. The nursing team currently consists of a lead practice nurse, two nurses, one assistant practitioner and three HCAs. The whole surgery works hard to provide great care to our patients, and does so in great spirits.
