Job summary

Grove House surgery is an established training practice in the Rose Green area of Bognor Regis. We have five GP partners, two salaried GPs and a wide range of other clinical and administrative support staff. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to come and join our expanding team. The vacancy is for between four and six sessions a week. Cover will be needed on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with Fridays an option for additional two sessions.

Main duties of the job

The role will mainly comprise of a mixture of face-to-face and remote consultations, and duty doctor sessions. Other opportunities could exist depending upon the experience and qualifications of the applying candidate.

About us

Grove House surgery cares for 11,500 friendly patients, a large majority of whom are in the later years of life with co-morbidity and polypharmacy. The surgery team has a family feel with a supportive learning environment.

Job Title: Salaried General Practitioner

Reports to: Partners (clinically), Practice Manager (operationally)

Key areas of responsibility:

  • Provide full range of Medical Services based on patient needs in accordance with the surgery's contracted opening hours.
  • Participate in providing a range of services in line with local, national and Primary Care Network enhanced services and contracts.
  • To provide on call services as necessary with other colleagues during the surgery's contracted opening hours.
  • Provide support and mentorship to other colleagues working in the surgery where appropriate.
  • To participate in clinical audit and take responsibility for specific performance target monitoring (e.g. QOF, PCN IIF)
  • To undertake administrative duties including, but not limited to, prescriptions, patients correspondence, pathology and medical reports.
