or someone working outside the NHS who has the relevant management and
operational skills. We are open to splitting the role if we find two people
with skills that complement one another.
The successful person/people
will be able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, to
lead and inspire our friendly, patient focussed team,
and to support the GP Partners in developing and evolving the Practice to
provide continuing, excellent patient care.
Main duties of the job
The role(s) will be
pivotal in the management of the practice and require someone who is forward
thinking and able to lead & support the practice team to achieve its aims
and objectives with total professionalism.
The role(s) will be
supported by managers in Operations, Reception and Facilities. We have a good
CQC rating, consistently excellent QOF achievement and a very high level of
patient satisfaction in the national GP survey. The successful candidate(s)
will either be competent in all aspects of core practice management or will be
willing to learn and able to demonstrate proven relevant business experience.
You must be able to
demonstrate attention to detail and excellent communication skills. You will be
supportive to staff and have full responsibility for their wellbeing. You will
be forward thinking, with the skills to develop the practice management role
and not be afraid to support, advise and lead partners in their decision
making.
You will preferably have
financial acumen and be able to demonstrate an ability to cost and forecast and
to fully understand the financial flows of income and expenditure. If you do
not have all these skills and are willing to learn, support can be provided to
allow you to increase your knowledge and skills in this area.
Previous management experience is essential, previous practice management experience is desirable. Our retiring practice manager will be available to support you for an agreed handover period.
