Drs
Adey & Dancy are looking to employ an exceptional leader to become our
Practice Manager. This person will be a pivotal member of the practice who will
lead & support the practice team to achieve its aims and objectives with
total professionalism.

We are looking for a
confident and resilient individual who will be forward thinking with the skills
to develop the practice management role and not be afraid to lead partners in
their decision making and/or make suggestions.
Our new manager will be adaptable and able to
understand and respond to the diverse and dynamic nature of the role, whilst
balancing the needs of the practice within the challenges of primary care. They
must have the ability to cope with the stress of multitasking and managing
change.
Previous management experience is essential, previous NHS
experience is desirable, but not strictly necessary, for the right candidate.
However, individuals without previous primary care experience will need to
demonstrate transferable knowledge and skills.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will work collaboratively
with the partners and with the practice team. They will provide leadership and
manage all aspects of the practice, with responsibility for patient services,
contract delivery and performance, strategic management, premises management
and operations including Health and Safety, compliance with CQC regulation,
Information Governance, management of internal and external stakeholder
relationships and IT.
They
will have financial acumen, the ability to cost and forecast and to fully
understand the financial flows of income and expenditure, showing attention to
detail.
They
will demonstrate excellent communication skills, be knowledgeable and have
proven HR skills. They will be supportive to staff, and have full
responsibility for their wellbeing, training and development, using their
ability to develop and lead people.
They
will be competent in all aspects of core practice management and be able to
demonstrate proven relevant business experience in business knowledge, finance,
HR and project management. The new manager will be supported in their role by
managers in Operations, Reception and Facilities.
It is essential that the new manager can ensure the
practice continues to run smoothly, working closely with the wider PCN teams
and exploring opportunities for collaborative working.
About us
Drs Adey and Dancy
practice is in the delightful semi-rural village of Tarporley, within a
20-minute commute of Chester and Nantwich and is long-established friendly
practice. We have a branch site located in Kelsall.
We provide primary
care services to approximately 6,200 patients, from a purpose-built building. We have 2 GP Partners, supported by 3 salaried GPs, 2 ANPs, PN team and an
experienced management and administration team.
We value high clinical standards and aim for an excellent patient experience. We achieve high QOF performance and have a Good CQC rating in all areas. We were in the top 3 surgeries in Cheshire in the 2022 GP Survey.
We are a highly respected training practice,
providing training for GP registrars, physician associates and medical
students as well as supporting a Clinical Pharmacist.
The practice is an active member of the Rural
Alliance PCN, made up of 6 local practices working
together with the aim of improving healthcare for the community and reducing
health inequalities. The partners currently holdPCNlead positions of Clinical
Director and Prescribing Lead.
The practice has support and additional roles
and resources from the PCN including a Clinical Pharmacist, FCPs, Dementia nurse, Social Prescribing & Mental Health link
workers. The practice works closely with the local community services,
including District Nurses, Health Visitors, Midwives, Social Services and continues to have an active and supportive PPG.
