Job summary
This is an exciting opportunity to join our successful and friendly team as Practice Operations Manager at Hall Green Health.
We are looking for a candidate ideally with NHS experience, and from a General Practice background, who has strong management and leadership skills to support the daily operations of our large, innovative practice. We currently have a patient list size of 31,500 and a large workforce of over 120 staff. It is essential therefore that candidates can demonstrate experience of working in a large organisation managing staff, daily operations and service provision at scale.
You will be a highly organised individual with the ability to manage a large workload and competing priorities on a daily basis. Working with our multi-disciplinary practice teams, Primary Care Network, and external stakeholders you will be able to lead, plan, and motivate others to deliver efficient patient services and practice business objectives.

Main duties of the job
To manage and co-ordinate the day-to-day operations of the Practice ensuring timely and efficient resourcing for our patient services. Leading and developing staff to achieve service delivery objectives that will optimise working practices, improve financial performance, and develop the business enabling the Practice to achieve its long term aims.
Planning, implementation and oversight of projects, contractual services and clinics ensuring performance is monitored and contract service levels are maximised. Supporting quality assurance, statutory and mandatory policies, procedures and training, and governance requirements including CQC, IT etc.
Daily liaison with internal and external stakeholders and attendance and participation at internal and external meetings.
Working with the Practice Manager and GP Partners this role entails delegated responsibility for the Practice in the absence of the Practice Manager.

Additionally, our non-clinical team provide a significant range of services and activities in support of our clinicians and patients.
We are a teaching and training practice supporting medical students, GP trainees and other clinical professionals to develop high quality skills and attributes that will provide a strong base for their future careers. In addition as a research practice we actively support research activities that will contribute to improved future outcomes for patient healthcare.
