Job summary
To
process incoming patient records between the Practice and Primary Care Support
England (PCSE) adding clinical data into the Practices computerised system in
a timely manner.
Main duties of the job
Summarise
all patient notes into the practices clinical system and ensuring this is in
line with the practice guidelines
Ensure
effective coding of patient records that clinical histories, diagnosis,
investigations and other relevant clinical information is entered into the
correct area of the patient record following practice protocol
Identify
possible queries and liaise with PCSE
Regularly
run audit searches
Maintain
and keep up to date data logs in computerised patient records
Maintain
the computer clinic system in an accurate and secure manner.
To
assist with the gathering of statistics and information when required.
To
be able to prioritise workload
Organise
daily workload efficiently so that personal targets are met achieving high
standards of completeness and accuracy within agreed timescales
To
inform lead of possible data breaches
Implement
all actions resulting from audit recommendations
