Job summary

The post holder will be required to act as a focal point of communication between the clinical team, front line staff, patients, POD services and local pharmacies, as well as other members of the primary health care team and trusted 3rd parties to ensure patients repeat medication/medical reports & examinations are produced within the current protocols of the surgery.

Main duties of the job

To process all repeat medication requests from patients using the various methods available to them ensuring that service targets are met and errors minimised.

To liaise with patients, clinical team, POD & pharmacies to resolve queries are dealt with promptly.

Expedite clinically urgent prescription requests to help ensure a safe and responsive service to our patients.

To help the clinicians/patients and trusted third parties by providing efficient administration support for Medical Reports/arranging examinations/invoicing.

To liaise with clinicians to resolve medical report queries.

To maintain the computer clinic system in an accurate and secure manner.

To have a positive and significant contribution to the development of the team to achieve shared objectives and ensure daily priorities are delivered.

Respond to queries from patients, carers other team members within Teldoc and third party trustees in a courteous, timely and efficient manner by telephone, email letter and occasionally face-to-face and maintain precise records of communications.

Post/email written correspondence as appropriate to deliver the requested correspondence in a timely manner and ensure this is recorded in the patient record.

Ensure you understand and follow confidentiality, data protection, data quality policies and SAR policy at all times.

Maintain accurate patient records promptly and quickly entering data in accordance with reporting requirements.
