Job summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic person, meticulous by nature who is able to maintain a high level of attention to detail to join the Practices Workflow and Secretarial team.

This is a varied role incorporating a range of duties. The successful candidate will require strong IT skills and will support the clinical document workflow team within the practice, extracting medical information and adding to medical records and provide efficient and comprehensive medical secretarial support for all of our clinicians.

Previous experience in General Practice and EMIs is preferred but not essential full training will be provided.

This is a demanding but rewarding role that would best suit a self-motivated and driven individual with a keen eye for detail.

Main duties of the job

To provide administrative support to clinicians and colleagues in the Workflow / secretarial team.

Manage incoming and internal patient documents is entered accurately onto patients medical records and follow up, as necessary according to practice protocols.

Scanning and attaching patients documentation.

Coding documents, as per the workflow process.

Filing reports, results and notes.

Ensuring patient records are accurate and maintained to high standards.

Provide comprehensive medical secretary service; effective communication with patients and external bodies and agencies.

Responding to queries, email management, letter typing, patient referrals, minutes etc.

Retrieve medical records and assist the completion of medical / insurance records.
