Job summary
Saffron Health have an exciting
opportunity for an enthusiastic, dynamic, self motivated nurse to join our progressive
nursing team. Supported by a wealth of multidisciplinary practitioners, the
nursing team are encouraged to learn and develop new skills as part of their
continuing professional development and are actively involved in clinical
education and training. As a leading training practice within the city, we are
keen to support and develop nurses who are looking to transition into practice
nursing from other nursing environments.
Main duties of the job
As a practice nurse, your responsibilities
will vary. You will be required to
Demonstrate
evidence based care delivery in assessing and managing patients with a wide
range of chronic disease
Act
as a role model ensuring professional standards are maintained at all times
Deliver
face to face care and provide safe effective advice and assessment in areas
such as womens health, childhood and adult vaccinations, anticoagulation and
wound care.
Practice
within your own scope of clinical competence and agreed acceptable limits of
practice. This to include responsibility and leadership in long term
conditions, immunisations and vaccinations, infection prevention and control
and QOF management.
Support
junior staff and students.
Support
the management team in reviewing clinical policies and procedures.

Experience
Essential
- Experience of working autonomously.
- Demonstrate expertise in infection control practices including policy development, compliance monitoring and conducting audits or an interest in taking this on and learning.
- Ability to educate and promote health initiatives, supporting patients in life style changes and chronic disease management.
Desirable
- Experience of working in a GP practice and in Primary Care.
- Knowledge of long term conditions.
- Wound care experience.
Qualifications

- Registered Nurse.
- Adult Nursing NMC Registered.
