Job summary

Are you an organised and proactive project coordinator with experience in research or consultancy environments? Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire PC-CRDC is seeking a Project Manager to support the delivery of a key research programme under the guidance of a multi-disciplinary Steering Group.

This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to high-impact research while working part-time in a flexible and supportive environment.

Main duties of the job

Working three days per week, you will support the operational delivery of a research project funded by the NIHR. While you wont be leading the project, youll play a vital role in managing timelines, documentation, communications, and logistics helping to ensure that the project runs smoothly, meets its objectives, and delivers value to all stakeholders.

You will work under the direction of a Steering Group, which will guide project priorities, decisions, and strategic direction.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate and monitor project activities in line with agreed plans and milestones.

Organise Steering Group meetings, including agenda setting, minute-taking, and actions

Maintain clear and up-to-date project documentation.

Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to support progress and collaboration.

Provide basic financial tracking and reporting support to the Steering Group.

Prepare reports and updates for internal and external audiences.

Support procurement, compliance, and governance tasks as required.

Identify and escalate risks, issues, or delays as appropriate.

  • Familiarity with research governance, GDPR, or ethics processes.
  • Previous experience working with or reporting to a Steering Group or governance body.
  • Understanding of commercial or contract research environments.
  • Project management training
